1. Commitment
Every child has the right to participate free from abuse, neglect, bullying, harassment and discrimination. A child’s welfare takes priority in youth-facing decisions.
2. Responsible adults
Adults involved in youth activities are expected to be suitable for their role, understand conduct boundaries and respond appropriately to concerns in accordance with applicable Latvian requirements.
3. Safe activity
Instruction should be age-appropriate and consider supervision, attendance, equipment condition, hydration, recovery and progressive introduction of skills.
4. Reporting
Concerns should be recorded and assessed responsibly. Where immediate risk, suspected criminal conduct or another legal duty arises, the appropriate emergency or competent authority should be contacted.
5. Images and communication
Identifiable images of minors require appropriate guardian authorization. Communications must respect privacy, dignity and appropriate adult-child boundaries.
